Season Zero marks the beginning.
Prime Arena Holdings has opened Season Zero, its register of interest, inviting ICBA members to help shape Ireland’s next world-class destination for sport, entertainment and live events. Prime Arena is a multi-purpose development in Cherrywood, Dublin, delivering Ireland’s first permanent Olympic-standard ice facility and professional ice hockey franchise.
The project will deliver two Olympic-sized ice rinks: a main arena seating 8,000, expandable to over 10,500 for major events and concerts, and a second rink supporting elite training, development and community use. Often described as a scaled Madison Square Garden, the main Arena transitions rapidly from ice to event floor, hosting professional hockey, concerts, conferences and exhibitions within a single venue in a single day. Designed with global firm Populous, it is expected to contribute over €300 million annually to the Irish economy.
Ice hockey is Canada’s game, and it sits at the heart of this project. Shaped by transatlantic collaboration and supported by NHL leaders and players, Prime Arena reflects Ireland’s deep ties with Canada and the strength of the Irish diaspora. We value ICBA’s role in connecting both markets.
For ICBA members, Season Zero offers:
- First access to opening-night tickets and premium experiences
- Priority on hospitality, sponsorship and corporate opportunities
- Early updates and invitations as the project progresses
