Founded in 2007 by David Maguire (pictured above), BNRG is a renewable energy firm based in Dublin that focusses on utility-scale solar installations. It develops, funds, constructs, and operates solar farms in Ireland, the US, UK, Europe, and Australia. With a pipeline surpassing 5.5 GW and an annual production of over 150,000 MWh of clean electricity, BNRG developed projects deliver dependable, reasonably priced solar energy globally.

With roots in Portland, Maine, BNRG has followed the energy market in New Brunswick for years. It consistently appeared to be a stable place to do business with an attractive energy market, so in 2023 they decided to begin developing solar projects in the Province, with eyes on further expansion both within New Brunswick and further afield in the coming years.

The Canadian economy has been resilient in the face of post-pandemic challenges, with stable energy policy, an educated workforce and motivated Government making it a very attractive place to do business.

Prime Arena Holdings is a visionary team committed to transforming Ireland’s sports and entertainment landscape through the development of a world-class arena, which will be home to the Republic of Ireland’s first Olympic-sized ice rink(s) and first professional ice hockey franchise, competing in UK and European leagues.  Inspired by the North American entertainment model, the venue will host major sporting, cultural, music and conference events, driving significant local economic and social benefits. Prime Arena Holdings have strong ties with Canada including a number of Canadian based investors and are working collaboratively with business and diplomatic representatives to bring wider benefits of sport, and hockey in particular, to both countries.

Kate Hickey, ICBA Executive Director, and Adeline Grenier from the Canadian Embassy in Dublin attending the CEUTIA meeting of the CanChams of Europe network in Brussels.

The event brought together executives from 16 Canadian Chambers across Europe, Trade Commissioners, and Provincial Representatives from Alberta, Manitoba, Québec and BC.
